Chelsea Community Connections office hours for August 7-11 – There are a lot of positive activities happening this week for your children & families, join in! Angelica will respond to your voice mail message and phone call between 9:30am-2pm each day, she responds to the call in the order we receive them. Postpartum Workshop

Join us for this month’s workshop on postpartum. It will be held this THURSDAY, August 10th at 5PM at 70 Everett Ave, Chelsea MA, ROOM 304A. 

This workshop is designed for those who have recently become parents, those who provide care to individuals who’ve welcomed a new child, or anyone interested in learning about postpartum care. A light dinner, childcare (and much more) will be provided. Bring your friends! We will have two OBGYN specialists from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, who will be sharing their insights and expertise.
For further information, please refer to the attached flyer accompanying this email. We hope to see you there! All are welcome! No registration is needed.

Chelsea Community Connections office hours / phone answering for the week of July 17-21. There are some days where our staff have to leave early this week or attend meetings/workshops. Free Children Vaccination Clinic

The City of Chelsea is Launching a Free Infant Vaccine Program. The clinic is available to children aged 5 to 18, regardless of insurance or migration status. All state-required vaccinations for school-age children will be available.
Starting Thursday, July 13, the clinic will be held the second Thursday of each month at Chelsea’s City Hall Public Health Office.. Appointments are by appointment by calling 617-947-6481.

La ciudad de Chelsea está lanzando un programa gratuito de vacunas para bebés. La clínica está disponible para niños de 5 a 18 años, independientemente del seguro o estatus migratorio. Todas las vacunas requeridas por el estado para niños en edad escolar estarán disponibles. A partir del jueves 13 de julio, la clínica se llevará a cabo el segundo jueves de cada mes en la Oficina de Salud Pública del Ayuntamiento de Chelsea. Summer time with children home from school can be stressful to feed everyone food. Please take advantage of the summer breakfast and lunch programs in the City of Chelsea (and many other cities doing the same program) – The calendar has the locations of food distribution (breakfast and lunch) It is for children under the age of 18.

El tiempo de verano con los niños en casa de la escuela puede ser estresante para alimentar a todos. Aproveche los programas de desayuno y almuerzo de verano en la ciudad de Chelsea (y muchas otras ciudades que realizan el mismo programa). El calendario tiene los lugares de distribución de alimentos (desayuno y almuerzo). Es para niños menores de 18 años.

Starbucks Celebration

Today, the Starbucks team at 164 Everett Ave in Chelsea held a GREAT event dedicating the store to the Chelsea community. It highlighted key partnerships which included one of our members from our steering committee, Lisa Santagate who has partnered with Starbucks to provide food to the micro pantries in Chelsea. Way to go Lisa! Apart from highlighting key community members, there was lots of delicious coffee, empanadas and the unleashing of a beautiful mural by Chelsea native, Sury Lopez Chavez! Overall, a great event with lots of happy faces and green apron’s.
